Richard E. Sutton
Richard is a graduate of Ball State University where he was president of his fraternity and the Student Governing Board. He began his benefit career with Blue Cross Blue Shield and left there after ten years to forge a business in the consulting arena. Richard has specialized in doing business with Indiana public school corporations, public libraries and other public employee groups, and counts a considerable number of those as long-term clients. His community work includes membership on the School Board of Trustees at Brownsburg Community School Corporation and service on a number of other business advisory boards.
Tony became licensed while attending Ball State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, with a concentration in personal finance. He continued to write life and health coverage until he moved to Chicago where he was the insurance manager of one of the largest chiropractic offices in the Midwest. After moving back to LaGrange, IN, he was hired as the Director of Finance for Westview School Corporation in Shipshewana, IN. As the Director of Finance, Tony ran the corporation’s budget as well as oversaw accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, and HR. He also managed their self funded health plan giving him the view point of how a plan is run from a school’s perspective. With his experiences in insurance and school finance, he not only understands insurance plan design and strategy, but also the complexity of schools in their daily operation and the challenges they face.
Diane Titchenell is an Employee Benefits Consultant at RE Sutton & Associates. As part of the Brown & Brown and RE Sutton team, her main focus is working with new and existing clients in the Indianapolis area and the southern part of Indiana. Diane has been involved in many different facets of insurance. She became licensed after many years as an Insurance Service representative working directly with insurance carriers to learn the business from the ground up. She continued learning the insurance business through retention and sales, writing and managing not only health, but dental, vision and life coverage until she came to RE Sutton to consult on all facets of insurance for our clients. With her experiences in insurance and service with many public entities, she not only understands insurance plan design and strategy, but also the complexity of schools and the challenges they face. Diane’s family has a military background, so her life has been ever-changing which bodes her well for the insurance industry, which is also ever-changing. She is also a proud parent of one son who recently blessed her with her first grandchild, Zachary Dale. Diane enjoys traveling, being outdoors, playing golf, boating and indoor sports such as basketball as well. Most of all, Diane enjoys time with family and friends.
Deb received an Associates degree in business from the University of Indianapolis. Prior to joining RE Sutton & Associates she was an Account Coordinator at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. She coordinates and manages the internal structure of the firm’s office and is involved with quoting individual and small group business. Deb is actively involved in the activities of her church and community in Hancock County.
Sharon joined RE Sutton & Associates in January, 2007 after a long career in the insurance industry. During her years with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, she served as Senior Account Manager in the Indiana Large Group Market working primarily in the public sector with large Indiana public schools. Sharon has experience with a variety of financial arrangements, as well as membership, billing, customer service and project work. Sharon and her husband live in Noblesville and enjoy a variety of community activities and spending time with family.
Caleb Whitmer, an expert in Large Group Employee Benefits, is an Account Manager with the RE Sutton Team at Brown & Brown Insurance. Prior to working at Brown & Brown, Caleb attended Ball State University, majoring in both Business Administration and Risk Management & Insurance. Caleb is a licensed Life & Health insurance agent and has extensive knowledge of on-site medical clinics. He spends countless hours researching and familiarizing himself with Public Law 43, HEA 1260 and Health Care Reform. Caleb grew up in the small northeast Indiana town of Shipshewana, but now resides in Westfield. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, fishing, participating in water sports, and playing guitar.
